Skills & Personal Statement

I am skilled in reporting, researching, interviewing, sub-editing and proofreading. I would like to develop these skills further and transfer them to my work. I am confident in using editing software such as InDesign, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro CC and Photoshop.

Through creating my own music magazine, Pit Talk, I have created an entire printed magazine that is full with interesting feature writing and reviews that will urge you to read to the last sentence. I have gathered my skilful writing through writing for various online publications whilst also interning at magazines that require solid copy in a short space of time.

I am an open individual that takes on a large amount of information with ease as well as able to adapt to a new framework in a short period of time. I am a professional individual that works hard with a view to achieve the best I can in any work. Through my extensive experience in the music industry, I have a clear image of how an office environment works with the intention of making a great asset to a team. With all my skills combined, I am looking for various job roles in PR, Online and writing.

Updated spreadsheets with recent interviews and reviews of their bands
Kept a close eye on any reviews and interviews that went up online to then update any overdue reviews
Scanned reviews and interviews from magazines and organised them into the according Dropbox
Organised the mail out to send albums/ EPs to journalists

General office duties including: using franking machine for mail outs, checking memorabilia and scanning artist features from magazines, working with spread sheets and databases
